Modal Analysis Turboshaft Test Stand Motor Designed by Using ANSYS

Authors

Abstract:

Today, modeling is critical for cognition and analysis of designers in industry field to meet their needs and design based on design requirements and available facilities to accelerate production and development of components of industrial engines. In this study, one structure has been proposed, designed, and analyzed based on turboshaft marine engine type to test this kind of engine in order to use in reality and to meet needs. Analysis conducted on the structure in ANSYS based on turboshaft engine dynamic effects on the structure. At the end of the study, these are exibited mode shapes and natural frequencies of the structure.Today, modeling is critical for cognition and analysis of designers in industry field to meet their needs and design based on design requirements and available facilities to accelerate production and development of components of industrial engines. Analysis of Lathe Spindle Using Ansys

The machine tool spindle provides the relative motion between the cutting tool and the workpiece which is necessary to perform a material removal operation. In turning, it is the physical link between the machine tool structure and the workpiece, while in processes like milling, drilling or grinding, it links the structure and the cutting tool. This work deals with design and analysis of Lathe ...

Electromagnetic, Thermal, and Structural Analysis of Rf Cavities Using Ansys

We report on techniques developed for producing electromagnetic, thermal, and structural solutions to RF cavity design problems in ANSYS, using one model [1]. Methods for preparing imported geometry from solid modeling programs are discussed, and meshing techniques are suggested. A study of mesh density is presented, comparing mesh size with heat flux and Q factor convergence. The general analy...

A comparison between modal damping ratios identified by NExT-ERA and frequency domain impact test

In this research, the modal parameters of a beam in free-free condition are extracted by performing different experiments in laboratory. For this purpose, two different techniques are employed. The first methodology is considered as a time domain method in Operational Modal Analysis. While the other one is frequency domain impact hammer test which is categorized as an Experimental Modal Analysi...

Mass Properties Identification of a Rigid Body Using Modal Analysis

In performing vibration analysis of the car engine on the engine support, it is necessary to know the mass properties of the engine including mass, position of the center of mass and mass inertia moments. Because the car engine has a relatively complex geometric shape and is composed of different components with different densities, determining its mass properties faces many challenges. There a...

Static Strength Analysis of Tubular T-Joints Using Ansys

A Finite element analysis has been done using ANSYS, to study the static strength of an offshore tubular T-joint. The strength of T-tubular joints with circular cross section tube chord with circular cross section tube brace is investigated. To determine the joint strength of these T-joint subjected to tension, compression, in -plane bending and out-of-plane bending loading cases have been carr...

Finite Element Analysis Of Disc Brake By ANSYS Workbench

The brakes must be strong enough to stop the vehicle within a minimum distance in an emergency. The driver must have proper control over the vehicle during emergency braking and vehicle must not skid. The brakes must have good antedate characteristics their effectiveness should not decrease with prolonged application and thus it demand that the cooling of the brakes should be very efficient. Fo...
